The Central and Beresford Street Markets are an integral part of Jersey’s heritage and a source of pride for many Islanders. The local markets have served the community for over 200 years. Both markets are lively, full of colours and smells and home to a wide range of local produce, crafts, goods and services.

The Central Market is on the corner of Beresford Street and Halkett Place in the heart of St Helier. The Beresford Street Market is opposite, between Beresford Street and Minden Place.

Opening Hours

Monday - Wednesday & Friday & Saturday:  07.30 - 17.30

Thursday: 07.30 - 14.30

Sunday: Closed

  • On Bus Routes - short walk to Liberation Station served by all routes
  • Cafes and restaurants usually open on Thursday afternoons and some evenings in the summer months
  • Parking cards and season tickets sold in Central Market offices
  • Public toilets - accessible facilities and baby changing facilities available
